Learn a Prokofiev Violin Concerto Using Online Videos?

What do you do when you've hit a brick wall in the development of your violin playing? Maybe you have become bored with your current violin teacher or even the violin exercises and pieces that you're playing.

A MUSICIANS DEVELOPMENT IS ALWAYS IN STAGES

Every musician will have to negotiate 'brick walls' in the stages of their development. While we can get a good jump out of the gate at the beginners stage, sooner or later, you'll be thinking... "How do I do that?" or "I wish I could play that piece!" So, how do you get over, under or around those hurdles?

THE KEY IS PASSION & DESIRE!

Chances are that, if you are not inspired to practise your violin, its got to do with your INPUT, whatever it is... i.e. the book you are working from, your teacher or even the fact that you don't have a violin teacher and therefore your intake is minimal. Its often said that 'you are what you eat'... well, its not to different with playing an instrument. If you are not being exposed to correct violin technique or the violin pieces and repertoire that inspire you to practise, it's easy to understand why someone may get bored. It doesn't have to be this way. Your enthusiasm, excitement, motivation and PASSION can be ignited easily. READ ON...

{I CAN'T FIND A GREAT TEACHER} + {EVEN IF I COULD, I CAN'T AFFORD WEEKLY LESSONS} = FRUSTRATION

Do you wish you could play a Prokofiev Violin Concerto? Many violin players who perform in local symphony orchestras around the world are very keen to develop their playing ability further but have limited time because of other life commitments and perhaps cannot afford $60 - $100 per week to pay a professional and experienced violin teacher for each lesson.

LEARN VIOLIN SECRETS FROM A NEW YORK MASTER TODAY

You may have heard of online music lessons and thought that this is only for beginners. THINK AGAIN! I've found a serious and legitimate first violin virtuoso from the Manhattan String Quartet. For 40 years he has toured the world since the 1970's across North and South America, Europe, Russia and the far east concertizing and teaching. He has developed a teaching system that's accelerated the learning curve for young string players to produce concerts of Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky.

MUSIC LESSONS ON THE WEB

In the last few years, there has been a steady increase in online music lesson websites. There are, however, a lot of rubbish sites out there that may look nice and fancy however the so called "teacher" has only just a bit more experience than a beginner themselves. Always check the validity of a teacher's ability to perform and teach. Doing a Google search on the teacher will generally give you the answers you need to make a decision.

Warning! If you are a beginner of any instrument and you start playing an instrument based on incorrect technique (given by a poor or inexperienced teacher), it will take you quite a bit of effort later on to 'unlearn' this bad technique. It's happened to me. It's not the worst thing that could happen, but it is overall a frustrating experience.

There aren't too many Online Violin Video Lessons on the web as opposed to guitar or singing lessons, so finding a good site should hopefully be easy.

FINAL NOTE ON PRACTISE

"Practise makes perfect?" RUBBISH!! "Perfect Practise makes perfect!"

So, here's cheers to the guide, the book, the teacher, the video, the INPUT... that can teach a musician the rare art form of perfect practise!

Josh Groban - Closer Pop - Music CD Review

Closer is the latest Pop CD put out by the richly talented Josh Groban who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I'm confident Josh Groban fans, and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one.

Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish. These days it's a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.

Overall Closer is an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up and is most definitely a worthy addition to any Pop collection. Truly an outstanding Pop CD. One of those that is completely void of any wasted time, as each track is simply superb. While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 2 - My Confession, track 5 - When You Say You Love Me, and track 10 - Remember When It Rained

My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 12 - You Raise Me Up. What a nice track!
